What is IELTS?
IELTS is a testing system which offers two test formats: ‘Academic', and ‘General Training'. All test candidates take the same speaking and listening modules, but candidates have the option of either Academic or General Training reading and writing modules. Students who wish to study Academic modules focus on studying at university level, while students who wish to study General Training modules are aiming to improve their English language skills for non-academic purposes. The test is widely recognised by universities, employers, professional bodies, and immigration authorities around the world. What is the Cambridge testing system?
The Cambridge testing system assesses English Language proficiency for admission to university and other courses. There are many different levels that can be taken, starting with Key English Test (KET) working through to Certificate in English Language Skills (CELTS) or Business English Certificate (BEC) depending on your personal goals and needs.
